go2hr, BC’s tourism and hospitality human resource association, has recently launched a free online safety training program, Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Program Fundamentals. In the interactive course, participants will learn the principles of occupational health and safety in BC and gain an understanding of the elements of building, implementing and maintaining a Safety Management System within their organization. To celebrate the official launch of the training, tourism and hospitality employees can enter for a chance to win 1 of 10 $50 Visa Gift Cards or an Apple iPad Air. Every course module completed gives participants an automatic contest entry for the Visa Gift Cards and participants who complete the full training program will be entered into a draw for the Apple iPad Air. Contest closes on October 31st, 2014. To sign up for the course and start earning contest entries, visit go2hr.ca/OHSFundamentals. The contest is open to residents of BC over the age of majority who are employed in the tourism and hospitality industry at time of entry. Maximum nine entries per person for the Visa Gift Cards and maximum one entry per person for the Apple iPad Air. One contest draw entry for the gift cards will be earned for each module completed in the Occupational Health & Safety Program Fundamentals course. For the grand prize, one contest draw entry will be earned for the completion of all nine (9) modules in the course. Participation in this contest is subject to compliance with the complete contest rules. There are eleven (11) prizes available to be won. The gift cards are valued at approximately $50 and the Apple iPad Air is valued at approximately $600. Each entrant is only allowed to win a maximum of one (1) prize in this contest. The odds of winning depend upon the total number of eligible entries received during the contest period. To win the prize, the selected entrant must correctly answer a skill-testing question and comply with the requirements of the contest rules. The contest period ends at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on 31 October, 2014. No purchase, payment or fee is required in order to participate in the contest.
